Roy Keane has criticised Liverpool midfielder Thiago on Sky Sports Premier League (7:37pm, October 10, 2022) for his performance against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The former Manchester United midfielder believes that Thiago was at fault for the first two goals that Liverpool conceded against Arsenal in the Premier League game.
The Gunners beat the Reds 3-2 in North London.

Keane said: “Thiago even for the first two goals poor, the midfielder’s reaction there not great. It’s no good having all that experience if you are not going to use it.”
Disappointing
In our view, Liverpool midfielder Thiago has been a disappointment for the Reds since his move from Bayern Munich.
The Reds paid Bayern £20 million in transfer fees for the Spain international in the summer of 2020 (Sky Sports).
Now, while Thiago has done well in spells and is a very classy player on the ball, he has had a lot of injury problems and has not really reproduced the form that he showed at Bayern.
We do not think that the Spaniard is going to improve much or do better anytime soon.
Liverpool are struggling in midfield at the moment, and clearly manager Jurgen Klopp needs younger and better players in that position.
