Paul Merson has written on SportsKeeda that Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has been “poor” so far this season.
The former Arsenal star made the observation about Son while commenting on Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah.
Salah and Son won the Golden Boot award in the Premier League last season.
The Liverpool star and the Tottenham ace scored 23 goals each in the league last season.
Merson wrote: “As for Liverpool, Salah hasn’t been good this season after signing a new contract. Both the Golden Boot winners from last season have been poor this term.”
Disappointing season for Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min
In our view, Son Heung-min has been disappointing for Tottenham Hotspur so far this season.
The £192,000-a-week (SalarySport) South Korea international forward has made 20 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs so far this campaign.

The 30-year-old has scored five goals and given three assists in those games.
Son has also scored two goals in seven UEFA Champions League matches for Tottenham so far this campaign.
The forward has looked a shadow of himself and is simply unable to conjure up the relationship he has had with Tottenham teammate Harry Kane for the past few seasons.
However, we should not write him off just yet.
We know what Son is capable of, and we believe that the forward will eventually get his form back.
After all, we are only in the beginning of March.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
And Son could play a big role in that quest.
