John Aldridge has responded to Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva’s message to some Liverpool fans on Twitter.

Silva has hit back at some Liverpool fans who trolled him on the social networking site after he sent a message to Manchester City supporters expressing his disappointment at the way the 2019-20 season has gone for the club.

City could not cope with Liverpool in the Premier League title race, and the Citizens also lost to Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Portugal international midfielder Silva has hit back at some Liverpool fans on Twitter, and ex-Reds striker Aldridge has responded to his post.

Next season will be massive

Liverpool were head and shoulders above City and every other team in the Premier League this past season.

While the Reds will head into the 2020-21 campaign as favourites, the Citizens will be determined to reclaim the title.

Manchester United and Chelsea will also be looking to at least close the gap on Liverpool.

The 2020-21 Premier League title race could be hugely exciting, and one suspects that fans are looking forward to it.
