Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after hearing what Harvey Elliott use to do during half-time while on loan at Blackburn.

What’s the story?

Well, the 18-year-old recently returned to Anfield after a stunning season on loan at Ewood Park.

Elliott scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in 41 appearances under Tony Mowbray, a fantastic effort for a player so young.

Impressively, aside from the odd cameo for Liverpool and Fulham, it was his first taste of regular, senior football.

The teenager’s efforts saw him nominated for the EFL Young Player of the Season award

So, what did he do during half-time?

Well, speaking to the club’s official website after returning to Merseyside, Elliott revealed that he used to check the Liverpool score during games for Blackburn, when he shouldn’t have been.

Liverpool’s No.67 said: “After every game I played when they were playing, I was looking at the scores – even at half-time when I shouldn’t have been I was looking at the scores.

“The fan will always be in me, wherever I go in my future; hopefully it’ll be here but I’ll always be looking what the scores are and keeping in touch with everyone here.”

Now, that’s exactly the sort of thing that will endear him to the Anfield faithful, to say the least.

However, as a few fans below mention, he can’t have been too pleased with what he saw for most of the campaign!

Jürgen Klopp’s men really, really struggled at times amid a devastating injury crisis, but still managed to finish third.

Hopefully, Elliott will feature a lot more for Liverpool’s first-team in the 2021/22 campaign.

He certainly deserves it following his efforts at Ewood Park.

For now, let’s see how the Liverpool fans on Twitter reacted to his cheeky admission…
