Leeds United will face Rotherham United at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday afternoon.
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the club’s official website that he and his teammates are happy with their current position in the Championship table.
The West Yorkshire outfit are fifth in the league table at the moment with 42 points from 24 matches.
The Whites are genuine playoff contenders and could end up in the top six of the standings come the end of the season.
Jansson, who joined Leeds on a season-long loan deal from Torino in the summer transfer window, has said that he and his teammates are happy with their current league position.
The 25-year-old centre-back has also shared his optimism ahead of Leeds’s Championship match against Rotherham.
Garry Monk’s side will take on Rotherham at Elland Road in the league on Monday afternoon.
“We are happy we are in a good position in the table, we want to go to the Premier League and currently we are in the Play-Offs,” Jansson told Leeds’s official website.
“We have Rotherham in the next game, we have to keep going and put all of our focus into that game,” added Jansson. “If we can get the three points against Rotherham on Monday, then a point at Aston Villa isn’t too bad.
“We are strong at Elland Road, hopefully it will be a good game, hopefully the stadium will be full, we are strong with the fans and we really need them.”
With Rotherham currently rooted to the foot of the Championship table, Leeds should fancy their chances of picking up all three points from the encounter.
The Whites will head into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa away from home at Villa Park in the league.
