Pontus Jansson thinks Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers are clubs set up for promotion to the Premier League.
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told Sky Bet’s Facebook page that he thinks Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers could be Premier League clubs soon.
Swedish international centre back Jansson has become a firm fan’s favourite at Elland Road since his loan move from Torino in August, and he should be in action against Burton Albion this weekend having been rested against Norwich in midweek.

Ahead of this weekend’s game, Jansson has been asked a host of questions by fans during a question and answer session with Sky Bet’s Facebook page – and was asked which away grounds he has enjoyed visited this season.
Jansson responded by saying that he enjoyed recent trips to face Derby County and Wolverhampton Wanderers, suggesting that both clubs could play in the Premier League in the near future due to their stature, support and stadiums.

“I think the last two games against Derby and Wolverhampton were really good,” said Jansson. “I think that those two clubs can be clubs who play in the Premier League. They’re big clubs with good supporters, and their stadiums are good,” he added.
The Premier League seems like a distant goal for both Derby and Wolves right now. Both teams have changed their managers already this season, as Nigel Pearson and Walter Zenga both lost their jobs early into the campaign despite only being appointed over the summer.

Derby lie 21st in the Championship table ahead of their clash with Sheffield Wednesday, just two points clear of relegation, whilst Wolves are just three places and two points above the Rams right now.
Jansson is right in his assertion that both Derby and Wolves are huge clubs who will be keen to return to the Premier League sooner rather than later, but their slow starts to this season make it hard to see them in the top flight next term.
