Leeds star excited for Saturday’s match against Cardiff.

Leeds United centre-back Jontus Jansson has expressed his excitement at learning more than 30,000 fans will be in attendance at Elland Road this weekend.

Leeds face Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City side, looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Huddersfield Town last Sunday.

Jansson, who has agreed to sign for Leeds permanently once his loan expires, says he cannot wait for kick-off.

Leeds’ average home attendance this year is 25,900 according to worldfootball.net, with this weekend’s fixture set to raise this.

The Whites are in the midst of a push to land a play-off place, currently sitting in fifth position, having been as high as third at one stage.

Jansson has been a key part of Leeds’ success after signing on loan from Torino, striking up a solid partnership with fellow loanee Kyle Bartley.

This weekend he will go up against Sol Bamba, who was released from the club back in September and signed with Cardiff.
