Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at his side holding Borussia Monchengladbach to a draw in a pre-season friendly match.
The Championship club played out a 1-1 draw with Bundesliga outfit Monchengladbach in Austria on Thursday afternoon.
Luke Ayling put the West Yorkshire outfit in the lead after just two minutes, and Patrick Herrmann restored parity for the the German club in the second half.
Leeds centre-back Jansson, who is 26 years of age, has taken to Twitter to express his delight at his team’s performance.
The Sweden international has also stated that the performance against Monchengladbach showed that Thomas Christiansen’s side are ready for the season ahead.


One player who will not be part of Leeds’s 2017-18 Championship campaign is Marco Silvestri. The 26-year-old goalkeeper has left the Whites for Italian club Hellas Verona.
Leeds’s Luke Ayling, who is 25 years of age and can operate as a defender or as a defensive midfielder, has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Silvestri’s departure from Elland Road.
