Leeds United lost against Nottingham Forest in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his excitement at the prospect of playing for Sweden next month.
The 25-year-old centre-back is part of the Sweden national team for their upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against the Netherlands.
Jansson, who joined Championship club Leeds from Italian outfit Torino on a season-long loan deal in the summer transfer window, is looking forward to joining up with his international teammates.
The former Malmo FF player has also stated on Twitter that he is aiming to build up his fitness.
The defender posted the message on Twitter after Leeds’ 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest away from home on Saturday afternoon.
Jansson was an unused substitute during the Championship match at the City Ground.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon, hosts Forest had 45% of the possession, took 10 shots of which six were on target, and earned four corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Leeds had 55% of the possession, took 14 shots of which just three were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
