Leeds centre-back sends best wishes to Marco Silvestri after exit.

Marco Silvestri sealed his Leeds United exit last night, clinching a permanent move to Hellas Verona.

The goalkeeper spent three seasons at Leeds, playing under six different managers and being first choice under five.

Star centre-back Pontus Jansson was sorry to see him go, sending him a message on Twitter wishing him luck.

His message translates as: “You have been fantastic since day one .. I wish you all the best Marco, good luck!”

The 26-year-old was pushed down the pecking order by the arrival of Werder Bremen stopper Felix Wiedwald.

Jansson spent most of last season on the bench behind Robert Green, but the campaign was not without its highlights.

The former Italy under-21 star featured against Liverpool at Anfield in the EFL Cup, and playing a starring role in a penalty shoot out victory over Norwich City.
