Leeds defender responds to QPR ace.

Leeds United's Pontus Jansson battles in the air with Queens Park Rangers' Toni Leistner and Joe Lumley during the Sky Bet Championship match between Leeds United and Queens Park Rangers...

Leeds were awarded their first penalty in more than a year at the weekend as they beat QPR 2-1.

The delight of the Leeds fans was not felt by QPR supporters, or their players.

More than 24 hours after the defeat, German defender Toni Leistner expressed his frustration on Twitter.

He complemented Leeds, but hit out at the referee.

Leeds defender Pontus Jansson recently received a one-game ban and a fine for criticising the referee after their draw with Brentford.

The the EFL apply the same precedent, Leistner will also have a ban coming his way.

Jansson joked that Leistner’s offence was worse – he certainly couldn’t use the heat of the moment defence – and replied, telling the QPR ace that if he played for Leeds, he would be jailed for his tweet.

Jansson still obviously feels unfairly treated over his own ‘offence’ and this feeling will grow if no action is taken against Leistner.

Leeds fans claimed at the time that Jansson had been singled out. The EFL now need to apply their own rules and reprimand Leistner.

Whether rightfully or wrongly, the same rule should apply for all.
