The Leeds United man reaffirms his desire to stay at the club, despite “interest” in him.

In an interview with Fotboll Skanalen, Pontus Jansson has reminded Leeds United that other clubs want to sign him, but admitted he loves playing for the Yorkshire club.
The Swedish centre-back was a huge hit at Elland Road last term after joining on a season-long loan from Italian side Torino, before the move was made permanent in February.

It was reported by Sky Sports in April that Premier League club Southampton were interested in bringing him to the South Coast and manager Garry Monk’s shock exit will have done nothing to stem the tide of rumours, given how he signed him originally.
Nevertheless, Jansson seemed to make his position crystal clear on Twitter last week by telling Leeds fans that he would see them next season.
And the 26-year-old has reiterated his desire to remain at United, but did confirm that there is interest from others.

“I have a three-year contract and it’s up to Leeds what they want to do,” he told Fotboll Skanalen.
“I can only say that I know there is interest, but I really enjoy working in Leeds. I was at Torino for two years and I did not like it as much. I know how important playing time and confidence is.”
Leeds fans will be delighted to see such commitment after Monk shocked the Championship last month by resigning.
