Pablo Hernandez was Leeds United’s hero as they returned to the Championship’s top two on Saturday.

Pontus Jansson summed up on Twitter how a lot of Leeds supporters felt about Pablo Hernandez following the Whites’ stunning comeback against Millwall on Saturday, with the Swede hitting out at his teammate not being included in the Championship Team of the Year.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side returned to the automatic-promotion spots on one of the most enthralling days of action in the Championship. With 70 minutes gone, Leeds looked set to fall four points behind Sheffield United as the Blades led against Bristol City while Millwall held a shock 2-1 lead at Elland Road.
However, within 13 minutes, Leeds were back inside the top two. Andi Weimann completed his hat-trick at Bramall Lane to turn that game around, while Luke Ayling and Hernandez sent Elland Road into a frenzy as both matches finished 3-2.
It was an outstanding performance from the Spaniard, who had initially scored Leeds’ equaliser after the home side fell behind in the first-half.

The 33-year-old is one of just two players to have reached double figures for both goals and assists in the Championship this term. Unsurprisingly, several supporters on social media were debating whether the attacking midfielder is the club’s best signing since their relegation from the Premier League in 2004.
His performance and superb return for the campaign makes it seem all the more baffling that he was not included in the EFL Team of the Year which was announced earlier this week after being chosen by the managers and coaches of the 24 Championship clubs.

In a season where virtually every member of Bielsa’s squad can hold their head high, Hernandez has arguably still managed to be the standout performer, regularly producing moments of brilliance when Leeds have desperately needed inspiration.
And it is clear from Jansson’s tweet following the dramatic win against Neil Harris’ side this weekend that he believes that it was a ridiculous decision for Hernandez to miss out on the team.
Here is what Jansson posted after the victory…
