A Leeds United-supporting teacher has taught his students the song dedicated to Pontus Jansson.
Marcelo Bielsa’s appointment at Leeds may have seen the Whites gain a much bigger following in South America, but it appears that the Elland Road faithful is growing in the other corners of the globe also.
Without question, one of the most popular players amongst the fans is defender Pontus Jansson. Jansson has been outstanding this season, and often mirrors every supporter in the stadium when he celebrates each full-blooded challenge he wins or moment of brilliance provided by a teammate.
It is often sung in the stands that Jansson would happily head any brick thrown at him. The song perfectly encapsulates why the centre-back is such a cult-hero with the Whites.
And one Leeds-supporting teacher working in China seemingly could not resist teaching his class the song as they produced a superb rendition that the club posted on its official Twitter page.
And it seems that Jansson was touched by the video as he posted a two-word reaction on social media…
There appears to be every chance that the song could need tweaking in the coming months as it is suggested that it will be sung all night if Leeds manage to win the Championship.
Norwich currently lead the way in the second tier, but Leeds go into the final eight games just two points back and a win against Sheffield United this weekend would see Marcelo Bielsa’s side take one big step towards promotion.
