Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has hailed Liam Cooper.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thinks Liam Cooper has been ‘amazing’ this season.
The Whites snatched a late equaliser on Saturday afternoon to take a draw from Middlesbrough, and they are back in action on Wednesday night against Swansea City.
Marcelo Bielsa will be looking for a win to keep the pressure on league leaders Norwich City, who travel to face Preston North End at the same time.
Leeds will be hoping for a strong defensive showing against the Swans, as only three Championship sides have conceded fewer goals than the Whites this season.
A strong part of that – when fully fit – has been Jansson and Cooper, who are now in their third season together at Elland Road, meaning they know each other inside out.
Whilst Jansson has been praised ever since his 2016 move from Torino, many Leeds fans will remember instances of captain Cooper being heavily criticised during his time at Elland Road, though that has changed this season.

The 2014 signing from Chesterfield has been a fine centre back and skipper this season, and he has now earned praise from centre back partner Jansson.
Jansson admitted that Cooper has ‘grown a lot’ as a captain, calling his performances amazing as he makes all those who doubted him eat their words.
“Amazing. He has grown a lot as captain as the team and a player,” said Jansson ahead of tomorrow’s game against Swansea.
