Leeds United are doing well in the Championship at the moment.
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has admitted to The Yorkshire Evening Post that the international break has come at a wrong time for the club.
The West Yorkshire outfit are doing well at the moment and are in with a chance of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
The Whites are currently 11th in the league table with 16 points from 11 matches, just four points behind sixth-placed Birmingham City.
Leeds returned to winning ways at the weekend, getting the better of Barnsley 2-1 at Elland Road in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.
Jansson, who joined the Whites on a season-long loan deal from Torino in the summer transfer window, has admitted that perhaps it would have been better for Garry Monk’s side had the international break not been now.
“We have good momentum so maybe it would have been better not to have the (international) break,” Jansson told The Yorkshire Evening Post.
“Maybe we would be better to keep going but we have two weeks now with happy faces rather than bad ones.”
Leeds will take on Derby County away from home at the iPro Stadium in the Championship after the international break.
It would have been better for the Whites had they been able to just carry on playing instead of waiting for two weeks.
Confidence in the Leeds camp is high at the moment, and there is a very good chance that the Whites could clinch a playoff spot this season.
