Leeds United put in a fantastic performance, but were unable to take home the three points from their latest Championship clash.

Pontus Jansson and Mateusz Klich were amongst the Leeds players to take to Twitter after the Whites’ draw with Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night, which saw Marcelo Bielsa’s men put in a fantastic display.
Leeds went into the derby clash off the back of their first league defeat of the season. Given how last season played out, the loss would have left many fans fearing that the Birmingham game may be the start of history repeating itself – and that fear would have only increased when Wednesday took the lead.
After dominating much of the first-half – Barry Douglas and Kalvin Phillips were amongst those who should have scored – Leeds fell behind to what will undoubtedly be one of the goals of the season from Adam Reach just before the break. It would have been a sickening blow, but the visitors responded superbly.
The Whites equalised through Klich’s own wonder-strike, and Leeds were excellent right until the full-time whistle. Their brilliant build-up play and pressure simply did not lead to a finish on the same level, and the points were ultimately shared.

But that has done little to dampen the optimism surrounding Bielsa’s side right now. And that is highlighted by Jansson’s tweet following the game where he undoubtedly focused on all of the positives to emerge from this season rather than the negative of being unable to find that winning goal on Friday.
And while several players sent out similar messages, a couple of his teammates clearly felt that Jansson hit the nail on the head completely.

Here is what some of the Leeds stars made of the draw…
