Pontus Jansson has made seven appearances for Leeds United so far.
Pontus Jansson has told the FootballSkalen Podcast that he is lucky to have Marcus Antonsson alongside him at Leeds United.
Jansson and Antonsson both joined Leeds this summer, and they have immediately formed a bond as they are both from Sweden.
Jansson says that he loves having his compatriot about, as it allows him to continue to speak his mother tongue regularly.
“For me, it’s the perfect fit,” Jansson said. “I am lucky to have another Swede here in Marcus Antonsson. I like to be able to speak Swedish.”
Jansson has made a bigger impact than Antonsson at Leeds so far, with his performances at the back catching the eye.
The 25-year-old, who is on loan from Torino, has become a fans’ favourite at Leeds already, through his committed performances.
Leeds have won five of the seven games Jansson has played for them, and he has played a major role in their impressive run of form.
Antonsson, meanwhile, has generally been used as a substitute so far, as he has struggled to dislodge Chris Wood from the starting line-up.
