The centre-back has already become a favourite at Elland Road.

Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has told BBC Radio Leeds that as soon as Garry Monk greeted him with a hug on his first day at the club he knew that he was working under a manager who believed in him.
Jansson joined the Whites this summer from Serie A side Torino and has quickly become a favourite of the Elland Road faithful for his committed style of defending and passion on and off the pitch.
The Swede is on a loan deal which will be made permanent if he reaches a certain number of appearances, and it seems as though that could be sooner rather than later.

The 25-year-old has already played seven times in the Championship this season and now appears to be a regular fixture in Monk’s side.
Speaking after Saturday’s win over Barnsley, Jansson told BBC Radio Leeds of how Monk made him feel welcome immediately upon his arrival, and suggested that he has a good feeling about how this season will go for himself and the club.

Jansson said: “I am so happy to be here, but that I said from the first day that I arrived here. I had a feeling that this is going to be really good. Now we have the momentum with the team. I have a good feeling about this.
“The first thing with Monk, he gave me a big hug and I felt “fantastic, now I have a coach who believes in me”. That’s a good start, when you have a coach who believes in you.”
Leeds fans will be pleased to hear of Jansson’s close bond with Monk, and will be hoping that it can continue to be reflected in the performances of their new favourite son.
