Leeds United have been absent from the Premier League since 2004.

Pontus Jansson has told Tuttomercatoweb that he is determined to help get Leeds United promoted back to the Premier League as soon as possible.
The 25-year-old centre-back joined Leeds on a season-long loan from Serie A outfit Torino last month.
The towering Swedish defender made his debut in the 1-0 League Cup win at Luton Town but manager Garry Monk has not yet handed him his Championship bow.

It could, however, come on Saturday as Leeds host Huddersfield Town after conceding three times in their last outing – a 3-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
Jansson was unused substitution that day, but the big centre-half has insisted that he joined the Elland Road club to play regularly, revealing his intentions to help the Whites win promotion back to England’s top flight at some stage.
“I want to return Leeds to the Premier League as soon as possible. I’m an aggressive defender, who always gives one hundred percent. I’m here to play regularly for the club, he told Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.

Leeds have been absent from the big time since their relegation in 2004, but it is clear that there is a lot improvement needed if they are to win promotion this season.
Monk’s side have won just one of their first five Championship outings – three defeats, one draw – and another poor result this weekend will surely see pressure mount on the 38-year-old manager from ruthless owner Massimo Cellino.
