The Leeds United defender was reunited with his former Malmo team-mate last month.
Pontus Jansson has told LUTV that he will throw an arm around Pawel Cibicki and help him enjoy his time at Leeds United.
The 23-year-old joined Leeds late in the summer transfer window from Malmo.
The former Sweden Under-21 international played with Jansson during his time with the Swedish outfit.
And Jansson has said that he will look after his friend and help him settle into life at Elland Road.
“Yeah it’s really nice [playing with him again]. He’s a young talent, good player who came up in Malmo when I was there,” he told LUTV.
“I played like two years with him. He’s a nice guy, I like him. I’m going to take care of him and make him really good for Leeds.”
Leeds signed Cibicki – who has also represented Poland’s youth teams – on a four-year deal which indicates a good degree of faith in the long-haired attacker.
He can play up front and on either wing but it seems likely that Thomas Christiansen will use him out wide, given that the Whites have Pierre-Michel Lasogga, Jay-Roy Grot, Kemar Roofe and Caleb Ekuban as striking options, though the latter is injured.
