The Swede is hugely popular among Leeds United fans.

Pontus Jansson has told LUTV that he does not play with the intention of endearing himself to Leeds United fans, suggesting it is a bi-product of his style of defending.
The big centre-back has certainly become a fans’ favourite among the Leeds’ faithful after joining the club on a season-long loan from Torino.

Whether it’s his combative style of play on the pitch, or his passionate, occasionally explicit-laden post-match Twitter comments, Jansson is fast becoming a hugely popular figure at Elland Road.
The Swedish defender has started five games for the Whites and four of those have been wins.
Indeed, there is substance as to why he is so highly thought of, but the 25-year-old says that he does not go out with the intention of winning over supporters, claiming it happens as a result of his natural commitment to the cause.

Asked if he plays with his heart on his sleeve, Jansson responded to LUTV: “Yeah but I don’t do it to make supporters happy. For me it’s natural. Before I was a professional I was a supporter in Sweden so for me it’s natural to always give everything.
“Like I say, I don’t do it to make supporters happy, but if they are happy with my style then of course I am happy.”
He is fast becoming one of Leeds’ most important players, and Jansson will need to be at his best on Tuesday when United visit Bristol City.
Garry Monk’s side are aiming for a fifth successive win in all competitions – three Championship wins, one in the League Cup.
