The Leeds United defender is happy for his fellow Swede.
Leeds United defender Pontus Jansson has been speaking about Alexander Isak’s move to Borussia Dortmund, with his comments published by Swedish website Afton Bladet.
Isak became the latest talented youngster to join the Bundesliga club earlier this month and huge things are expected of a player who has been compared to Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Still only 17, Isak appears to have the world at his feet, and Leeds defender Jansson has clearly been keeping a close eye on his progress.
“It’s damn good to see him,” the Leeds defender said. “I follow the league closely and I am deeply impressed.
“It’s hard to say how good he is and how far he can go. But he seems very mature.”
Jansson will be hoping to agree a permanent move of his own before the end of the month, with the defender expected to make his loan deal at Leeds permanent once he reaches 22 appearances.
In the future he will be hoping to star alongside Isak for his country, but in the short term his focus will be solely on helping Leeds maintain their promotion push between now and May.
