With the Championship season now over, football fans all over the country can start to look forward to the hotly-contested play-offs, where one team will win promotion to the Premier League, joining Newcastle United and Brighton and Hove Albion.

With the riches of the Premier League at stake, these fixtures are some of the biggest in the football calendar. But which team would you like to see go up? Before we give you the chance to vote, here’s a quick reminder of the contenders…

Reading

The Royals have had a fantastic season this year, and that can be put down to the hard work of new manager, Jaap Stam. The former Manchester United and AC Milan defender has transformed Reading into one of the most tactical teams in the division, and finished this season in third place.

Sheffield Wednesday

The Owls came so close to promotion last season, narrowly missing out after being beaten 1-0 at Wembley by Steve Bruce’s Hull City. Manager Carlos Carvalhal worked hard in January to strengthen his side, and with the added firepower of players like Jordan Rhodes and Sam Winnall, Sheffield Wednesday could be one tricky customer.

Huddersfield Town

Will the Wagner revolution make it all the way to Wembley? David Wagner’s turnaround of Huddersfield Town has been nothing short of sensational this season, with his side competing for promotion from the get-go. Defensively strong and vicious on the counter-attack, Huddersfield Town could be ready to make history.

Fulham

Fulham have been playing some of the best football in the Championship this season, with former Watford manager Slavisa Jokanovic turning the Cottagers into a force to be reckoned with. With players like Tom Cairney in their side, Fulham have got a good chance of going all the way.
