Sunderland have landed one player during this window, but who else do the fans want to come in?

With the January transfer window entering its final stages, HITC Sport has taken a look at the players that Sunderland supporters may be hoping the Black Cats hierarchy are able to land during the last days of the month. But before you get the chance to vote, here is a look at the contenders…

Darron Gibson

According to the Daily Mail, David Moyes is interested in signing Everton midfielder Darron Gibson. It was Moyes who brought the Irishman to Goodison Park, but with Gibson not making a single appearance for the Toffees in the Premier League this season, it is difficult to imagine that Ronald Koeman will have too big an issue with letting him go.

Brian Oviedo

The same report in the Mail has suggested that Moyes is also keen on bringing Bryan Oviedo to Sunderland. The Mail suggests that Koeman is less keen on leaving the path clear for the Costa Rican to move to the Stadium of Light however.

Neil Taylor

According to Wales Online, Sunderland have earmarked Swansea’s Neil Taylor as a potential replacement for exit-bound defender Patrick van Aanholt and the Swans are willing to consider a deal. Not only would this deal strengthen Sunderland’s squad, but it would surely weaken that of a relegation rival.

Patrice Evra

Another player Moyes wants a reunion with is Patrice Evra, according to the Daily Mail. However, this move looks unlikely as the Mail adds that the Manchester United legend would prefer a move to London should he come back to England.

Ross McCormack

According to HITC Sport, Sunderland are one of the clubs interested in signing Aston Villa’s Ross McCormack. The Black Cats have been incredibly reliant on Jermain Defoe for goals, so it makes sense for Moyes to bolster his attacking options if he has the funds. Whether McCormack can make an impact at the Stadium of Light is another question.
