Tottenham’s Moussa Sissoko

As the January transfer window passes the halfway mark, HITC Sport has put together a poll looking at the Tottenham Hotspur players that perhaps some would not mind seeing move on this month. But before we give the fans the chance to vote, here is a look at the five contenders…

Moussa Sissoko

After signing in the summer for a mouth-watering £30 million according to reports from the BBC, Moussa Sissoko has shad a stuttering start to his career at Spurs. Struggling to match the high performances of Spurs’ other attacking midfielders, such as Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, could Sissoko be set for an early exit?

Erik Lamela

Despite a resurgence in form that season, Erik Lamela has struggled to get going during the 16/17 Premier League campaign, and has recently found himself cast to the bench. Perhaps put off by the signing of Sissoko, who plays in the same position as Lamela, could the Argentinian be moved on from White Hart Lane?

Ben Davies

As reported by HITC Sport recently, Ben Davies’ future at Tottenham Hotspur remains uncertain. After joining from Swansea City in 2014, the Welshman has struggled to keep down a consistent place in the Spurs side, and now appears to have lost his spot completely thanks to the impressive form of England youngster, Danny Rose. Too good to be warming the bench every week, is Ben Davies a possible candidate for departure?

Kieran Trippier

Joining Spurs in 2015 from Burnley, Kieran Trippier is another full-back who has struggled to nail down a regular place at Spurs. Missing out to Kyle Walker, who has improved ten-fold under Mauricio Pochettino, Trippier has recently dismissed speculation linking him with a move away in the Daily Mail. However, as he continues to warm the bench, could the former Burnley man be a possibility for the exit door?

Vincent Janssen

Joining Tottenham from Dutch side AZ Alkmaar for a reported £17 million, according to reports from the BBC, Vincent Janssen has struggled since his arrival at White Hart Lane. Scoring just one goal so far for Pochettino’s side, many Spur fans feel the Dutchman just isn’t cut out for life in the Premier League, and that Spurs should look to sign a better forward as back-up for star man, Harry Kane.
