Players from Manchester City, Swansea City, Arsenal, West Ham United and Everton all feature.
Before you get the chance to vote in HITC Sport’s poll looking at the best performance in the Premier League this weekend, here is a look at the five nominees…
Tom Carroll (Swansea City)
Swansea City’s Tom Carroll
Given how sparingly he was used by Tottenham this term, it is incredible how much of an impact Tom Carroll made during Swansea’s stunning victory over Liverpool at the weekend. The debutant almost ran the show as the Swans completely turned the table on its head.
Ross Barkley (Everton)
Ross Barkley has looked a completely different player in recent weeks to the one that looked bereft of confidence under Ronald Koeman previously. He was superb in the Toffees’ win over Crystal Palace and looks to be getting back towards his best.
Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne celebrates
Kevin De Bruyne gave Manchester City a seemingly unassailable lead when he showed some tremendous anticipation to tap the ball home when Hugo Lloris had spilled a cross for a fraction of a second. Despite Tottenham coming back, De Bruyne still deserves a huge amount of credit for his display.
Shkodran Mustafi (Arsenal)
Have Arsenal finally found the central defensive partnership that will lead them to the title in future? Shkodran Mustafi has been an inspired signing and his partnership with Laurent Koscielny has been so impressive. He scored the Gunners’ opener against Burnley and generally looked assured in the win over the Clarets.
Andy Carroll (West Ham United)
West Ham United’s Andy Carroll celebrates scoring
The idea that a West Ham player could manage to take some of the headlines away from Dimitri Payet would be almost inconceivable earlier in the month, but that is exactly what Andy Carroll has done over the last two games. After scoring a stunner against Crystal Palace, he bagged a brace in the 3-1 win against Middlesbrough.
Those are the contenders, so now is your chance to vote. The results will be announced on Tuesday.
