West Ham United have landed two players during this window, but who else do the fans want to come in?
With the January transfer window entering its final stages, HITC Sport has taken a look at the players that West Ham supporters may be hoping the Hammers hierarchy are able to land during the last days of the month. But before you get the chance to vote, here is a look at the contenders…
Ashley Young
According to The Sun, West Ham have contacted Manchester United about signing the winger on loan. While it remains to be seen whether the Irons will win the race, The Sun adds that Young wants to leave Old Trafford temporarily, and a switch to the London Stadium would surely appeal.
Robert Snodgrass
Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass
Gazette Live reports that the Hammers are preparing a fourth bid for Hull City winger Robert Snodgrass, and it is not difficult to see why. He has scored seven times and contributed three assists in the Premier League this season.
Scott Hogan
West Ham have been heavily linked with Brentford forward Scott Hogan throughout the month, but are yet to reach an agreement with the Bees, who reportedly want £15 million (via Daily Mail). Hogan has scored 14 times in 25 Championship games, which is incredibly impressive given the Hammers’ highest scoring forward currently has five league strikes to his name.
M’Baye Niang
AC Milan’s M’Baye Niang
According to Sky Sports, West Ham are also interested in AC Milan youngster M’Baye Niang. Sky reports that the Rossoneri want £13 million for the 22-year-old, but are open to the idea of letting him leave on loan with an option to move permanently in the summer. Niang has scored three times in 18 Serie A games this season.
Robbie Keane
Though there has been no link between the player and club it seems, Tony Cascarino recently told The Irish Sun that the Hammers should target the 36-year-old. The free agent once spent a few months on loan at the Boleyn Ground, and is a proven Premier League goalscorer.
