After an injury to central-defender Jan Vertonghen, Spurs have been linked with a move for Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia, by the Evening Standard. The report suggests that Ranocchia’s agent has been in England with a number of Premier League clubs having shown an interest in the 28‑year-old, including West Ham and Hull. However, the recent injury to Tottenham’s Belgium international Vertonghen may well force Pochettino’s hand.

Andrea Pinamonti

According to a report in The Sun, Tottenham Hotspur are contemplating a potential swoop for Inter Milan youngster Andrea Pinamonti. The 17-year-old Inter Milan striker is rated as one of the hottest prospects in Serie A, though Chelsea are reportedly leading the race for his signature.

Sebastian Driussi

The Sun have also reported that Tottenham Hotspur could be prepared to swoop for highly-rated River Plate striker Sebastian Driussi, who has been dubbed the new Sergio Aguero. The 20-year-old striker is one of the hottest properties in South America, having scored 10 goals in 14 matches this season.

Nicolas Gaitan

Another report from The London Evening Standard has linked Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Atletico Madrid star, Nicolas Gaitan. The left winger, who has not always been first choice for Diego Simeone this season, could add an electrifying amount of pace down the left-hand side, and add another attacking threat.
