Which Leicester City player would fans be open to departing during this January transfer window?

As the January transfer window passes the halfway mark, HITC Sport has put together a poll looking at the Leicester City players that perhaps some would not mind seeing move on this month. But before we give the fans the chance to vote, here is a look at the five contenders…

Robert Huth

Leicester City’s Robert Huth

Despite playing a pivotal part in their miraculous Premier League title win, Robert Huth has struggled this season. The change in Premier League rules which now penalises players more often for holding and shirt pulling in the box has caught Huth out, and Leicester may be considering bringing in a younger and more mobile centre-half.

Matty James

A stalwart of Nigel Pearson’s side, Matty James is a hard-working central midfielder who always gives 100%. However, James has struggled for games under Ranieri, and at the age of 25, he might keen to look for more regular first team football.

Leonardo Ulloa

Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa

The Argentinian target man, who joined Leicester City from Brighton after their promotion to the Premier League, has been somewhat of a super-sub for the Foxes over the last few years. Now, with Sky Sports suggesting the striker is considering handing in a transfer request, the striker looks likely to depart the King Power Stadium in search of regular football.

Marcin Wasilewski

The Polish international, who joined the Foxes in 2013 from Anderlecht, has been a something of a back-up defender for the Foxes over the last few years. A huge unit, Wasilewski might lack the pace and movement to compete with Premier League defenders week in, week out.

Danny Simpson

Despite playing a huge part in Leicester’s title winning team, Danny Simpson has found his position under threat this season. The signing of Spaniard Luis Hernandez in the summer suggested it was an area Ranieri was looking to strengthen, and the new arrival is hot on the heels of the former Newcastle United defender, and could drive Simpson to look for other options.
