Which Everton players would fans not mind seeing the back of by the end of the current transfer window?

As the January transfer window passes the halfway mark, HITC Sport has put together a poll looking at the Everton players that perhaps some would not mind seeing move on this month. But before we give the fans the chance to vote, here is a look at the five contenders…

After 10 years at Goodison Park, rumours are beginning to circulate that the Toffees stalwart defender is on his way out. With old boss David Moyes, now at Sunderland, plotting a move for the central defender, according to the Northern Echo, could Phil Jagielka be a contender for the exit door?

Gerard Deulofeu

Signed permanently from Barcelona in 2015, Gerard Deulofeu’s performances in a Toffees shirt have been mixed over his last year at the club. Struggling at times to make an impact on games, Deulofeu has only scored two goals since signing permanently, and may well be deemed surplus by new boss, Ronald Koeman.

Arouna Kone

Joining the club with his former manager at Wigan Athletic, Roberto Martinez, Arouna Kone has been somewhat of a super sub during his time at Everton. However, with first team chances becoming more and more seldom, could Kone soon be looking for a new club?

Joining the Toffees from Tottenham Hotspur, Aaron Lennon has at times impressed Everton fans with his work ethic and pace down the right hand side. However, with Ronald Koeman favouring a more narrow style of play, could Lennon’s role in the side now be deemed surplus?

After seemingly falling out of favour under Ronald Koeman, James McCarthy could well be set for the exit door during this transfer window. Despite playing a major part in Roberto Martinez’s successful spells at Everton, McCarthy has now found his place in the team usurped by new signing Morgan Schneiderlin, and could well be the due a move away.
