Which Chelsea player would Blues fans not mind seeing move on this month?
As the January transfer window passes the halfway mark, HITC Sport has put together a poll looking at the Chelsea players that perhaps some would not mind seeing move on this month. But before we give the fans the chance to vote, here is a look at the five contenders…
Diego Costa
Chelsea’s Diego Costa
Diego Costa may be Chelsea’s star striker but some Blues supporters may not be that disappointed to see him leave this month. BBC Sport reports that he is a target for the Chinese Super League and has reportedly fallen out with Antonio Conte, so perhaps a move could still be on the cards.
Cesc Fabregas
Cesc Fabregas struggled during the early part of the campaign to establish himself in Conte’s team, but has been used more regularly over the last couple of months. Nevertheless, Conte may perhaps find it difficult to stop the Spaniard leaving if a large bid comes in.
Michy Batshuayi
Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea have rejected loan bids from Paris Saint-Germain for Michy Batshuayi so the interest is clearly there. The Mail adds however, that the Blues want Fernando Llorente, so perhaps landing the Spaniard and keeping Costa would result in the Blues offering a different answer if another bid for Batshuayi comes in.
Asmir Begovic
Asmir Begovic is still awaiting the chance to make his first Premier League appearance of the season. Though he will know that he is Thibaut Courtois’ understudy, he would be forgiven for getting frustrated at the lack of opportunities. And it seems unlikely that Blues fans will mind too much to see him move on.
Kenedy
Chelsea’s Kenedy
Kenedy looked like he may get his chance to impress in the Premier League when he joined Watford on loan in the summer. However, he is now back at Chelsea after a poor time with the Hornets. Whether that is a positive move for his Blues career or effectively the end perhaps remains to be seen.
