After falling 2-0 behind against Aston Villa this weekend, Josh Hugill helped secure a miraculous comeback for Preston North End, scoring a brace. After a mazy run to fire home into the top corner for Hugill’s first goal, the striker met Aiden McGeady’s cross in the 76th minute to secure a point for Simon Grayson’s side.

Isaiah Brown – Huddersfield Town

After being recalled by Chelsea from his loan spell at Rotherham United, Isiah Brown’s time at Huddersfield Town has started with a bang, after the midfielder scored a peach of a goal in the Terriers 2-0 win against Mick McCarthy’s struggling Ipswich Town. Brown’s curling strike, which found its way past Ipswich keeper Dean Gerken, put Huddersfield into the lead in the 41st minute.

Anthony Knockaert – Brighton

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Anthony Knockaert was at the double to secure an important 2-1 over promotion rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night. After initially putting the Seagulls into the lead, Knockaert scored the winner for Brighton in the 85th minute after Lewis Dunk’s own goal.

Matt Ritchie – Newcastle United

The former Bournemouth winger once again proved why he is so vital to Newcastle’s promotion charge with another brace against Championship strugglers Rotherham United. The goals were his ninth and tenth of the season, making him one of the most prolific midfielders in the Championship.

Ryan Kent – Barnsley

On-loan winger Ryan Kent emerged as one of the top performers of the weekend after his performance in the Tykes’ 3-2 win against rivals Leeds United. After Tom Bradshaw’s equaliser, Kent fired hard and low to put the Tykes in front, causing the Leeds United defence all sorts of problems throughout the evening.
