Arsenal fans have been taking part in a HITC Sport poll on who they want to see in charge of the club next season.

With the Premier League title looking like slipping through their fingers yet again, Arsenal fans are perhaps understandably torn over the future of their long-time manager, Arsene Wenger. The Frenchman, who has been at the Gunners since 1996, is arguably one of the greatest managers in Premier League history, but years without a Premier League title have tried Arsenal fans’ patience.

With supporters voting for the person they’d most like to see in charge next season, lets take a look at the results…

11% of Arsenal fans who took part in the HITC Sport voted for the Frenchman to stay at the club. His ability to keep the club in the Champions League year after year, consistently produce talented young players and attract the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to the club clearly hasn’t been lost on some fans. Sometimes the grass isn’t always greener on the other side…just ask Manchester United fans!

Managing one of the most ruthlessly relentless teams in world football, Juventus manager Massimo Allegri has picked up 33% of Arsenal fan’s votes. The Italian, who also enjoyed success at AC Milan and Cagliari, has won 2 Serie A titles, 2 Coppa Italias and come as the runner-up in the Champions League during his time in Turin, and was recently quoted in the Evening Standard as not wanting to “confirm or deny anything” in connection to Arsenal speculation.

1. Diego Simeone (43%)

Winning 43% of the votes, the majority of Arsenal fans who took part in the HITC Sport poll look like wanting Atletico Madrid coach, Diego Simeone, as their new boss next season. The Argentinian has guided Atletico to two Champions League finals and delivered them their first La Liga title since 1996. Noted for his ability to get 110% out of his players every game, and tactically organise his teams in a way that has seen them claim most of the big scalps in world football, Simeone might be just the man to transform form this Arsenal team into a trophy-winning side once more.
