Leeds United were last night eliminated from the League Cup against Arsenal, however, it was a night to remember for Cody Drameh.
The Elland Road youngster made his debut for the senior side as the London-born right-back started in Marcelo Bielsa’s back-four. Despite conceding twice, Drameh was impressive for Leeds.
Faced with marking Gabriel Martinelli, the 19-year-old fullback flourished against the Arsenal talent. And given the overall performance of Leeds on the night, Drameh gave a good account of himself.
The youngster has impressed at youth level for Leeds. With Drameh also established within the England set-up, with the defender recently playing for the U-20s.
With academy stars Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood also making appearances for Leeds, Drameh was one of many exciting talents to take to the field last night in north London.
Indeed, the 19-year-old was arguably Leeds’ best player of the night. And on social media, supporters were pleased with how Drameh performed in his first senior match.
