Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media during his pre-match press conference, and responded to a question asking him if Erik Lamela is fit enough to start against Brighton and Hove Albion at Wembley tomorrow, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

The Argentine has appeared as a substitute in Tottenham’s last three Premier League games, having spent 13 months on the sidelines with a troublesome injury, and he will surely be desperate to play from the start tomorrow night.

Lamela joined the Lilywhites from Roma in the summer fo 2013, for a fee believed to be worth on the region of £25.7 million, but has failed to live up to the reputation that accompanied him to north London.

Pochettino discussed Lamela, when addressing the media today, and responded to a question asking him if the Argentine winger will start against Chris Hughton’s men tomorrow, as quoted by Football.London:

“Maybe, maybe. I still haven’t decided. I will decide today for tomorrow. Yes he has a chance to play from the start tomorrow.”

Spurs will be desperate for all three points tomorrow, as they look to keep pace with those above them in the Champions League spots, and Lamela will be hoping for the opportunity to prove that he is fully back up to speed from a fitness perspective.
