The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has shown massive improvements over the past couple of months.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media yesterday, and responded to questions asking him about the recent resurgence of Moussa Sissoko, suggesting that he is happy to see that the club’s fans are beginning to recognise the Frenchman’s value, as quoted by Football.London.
The 28-year-old joined Spurs from Newcastle United in the summer of 2016, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £30 million, but he has struggled to establish himself in north London.
Sissoko has shown signs of dramatic improvement in recent weeks, however, displaying the kind of qualities that he showcased on a regular basis during his time on Tyneside.
Pochettino spoke to reporters, and praised the France international, suggesting that the Tottenham fans are finally starting to realise the value that he adds to the team, as quoted by Football.London:
“I am happy that the fans are starting to see him like a player who helps the team and helps the club and recognise his value. Of course we cannot ask him to do different things, or things we can ask of another player, but he will always give you all that he has inside. That is very good for the team. I am so happy that the fans start to recognise his value.”
Tottenham face Crystal Palace away today, and with Mousa Dembele out injured, and Eric Dier and Victor Wanyama being nursed back from a spell on the sidelines, Sissoko will be hoping for another chance to prove his worth to Pochettino’s side.
