Tottenham have been inconsistent in the Premier League recently.

With Tottenham Hotspur already qualified for the knockout stages as winners of their Champions League group, manager Mauricio Pochettino would initially have planned to have rested several of his stars against APOEL Nicosia on Wednesday night.
However, with Tottenham in concerning form in the Premier League – they have taken two points out of a possible twelve across their last four fixtures – Pochettino’s side are certainly in need of a boost.

While he may still elect to give some of the lesser-used members of his squad a run-out, Pochettino may now feel that it would be beneficial for some of his Premier League regulars to be involved against APOEL and hopefully be part of a morale-boosting win.
Having fallen to sixth place in the Premier League table, Tottenham are certainly in need of a boost going into Saturday’s game at home to Stoke City.

Tottenham have appeared devoid of confidence at times in recent weeks and playing against APOEL – a side who they beat 3-0 away and who have conceded 14 goals in the Champions League this season – could be just what they need.
The likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen in particular would certainly benefit from finding the net or providing assists against the Cypriot champions.
