Tottenham Hotspur should consider swapping their full-back for two of Manchester United’s young stars.

A report from the Daily Star this morning claims that Spurs ace Danny Rose has his heart set on a move to Manchester United next summer, with Jose Mourinho prepared to pay £45 million to secure the 27-year-old’s signature.
Despite the England international’s undoubted quality, he hasn’t exactly endeared himself to the Tottenham faithful recently, following his disparaging comments regarding the club’s transfer activity during the summer transfer window.
If Mauricio Pochettino does allow Rose to leave the club though, he must issue United and Mourinho with an ultimatum, by demanding both Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw in exchange for the talented left-back.

The United pair would undoubtedly help improve the Lilywhites’ squad as a whole, and with the Englishman and the Frenchman being just 22 and 21 respectively, they would both ideally fit into Pochettino’s vision for the future.
Shaw would provide strong competition for Ben Davies in the left-back position, whilst Martial would provide cover and competition all across Tottenham’s front-line, what with his ability to play on both wings and through the middle as an orthodox centre-forward.
Whilst it could be argued that United would be mad to swap two players with such outstanding potential for Rose, neither Shaw nor Martial have established themselves as key figures under Mourinho.

The duo have made just 28 Premier League starts combined for the Red Devils since the Portuguese’s arrival at Old Trafford, and the former Chelsea manager’s absolute determination to bring Rose to Manchester might just tempt him into allowing both Shaw and Martial to move to north London.
And with the January transfer window just around the corner, there might just be an earlier opportunity for both clubs to execute a deal involving the three players.
