Tottenham Hotspur were magnificent against Manchester United last night.

Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media in the aftermath of his side’s superb 2-0 win over Manchester United at Wembley last night, and shared how surprised he was to see his side open up the scoring so early in the game, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Tottenham were excellent from the very first whistle until the last against the Red Devils, and they now sit just two points adrift of the Champions League spots in fifth position in the Premier League table.

With so many strong teams in the top flight this season, qualification for Europe’s premier competition will be harder than ever, and by no means a formality, so Spurs will have to replicate the intensity and quality that they displayed against United, if they are to enjoy a successful campaign t his season.
Pochettino spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s win over Jose Mourinho’s men, and admitted that he was surprised to see his team break the deadlock after just 10 seconds, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London:

“Yes. when you score after 10 seconds, it’s a massive responsibility to manage the game. But most important, we played like it was 0-0, scored again, focused, concentrated and the team was so good.”
Next up for Pochettino’s men is a trip to Anfield to take To Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday, and they will have to be at their very best, if they are to have any chance whatsoever of taking anything from the contest.
