Tottenham Hotspur need to bounce back quickly following last weekend’s defeat.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino sat down with reporters ahead of his side’s clash with West Brom on Saturday, and shared the message he gave his players following their disappointing defeat to Arsenal that helped them bounce back and secure an impressive win away at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday night, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Tottenham must now re-focus their attention on the Premier League, as they look to string together a succession of wins in the hope that they can close the gap on Pep Guardiola’s rampant Manchester City side.
That will be easier said than done of course, with the Citizens looking invincible at the moment, but Tuesday’s win in Germany will have at least given the Lilywhites the confidence to return back to winning ways domestically.

Pochettino addressed the media during his pre-match press conference, and shared how he tried to to lift his team in the wake of their North London Derby defeat, as quoted by Football.London:
“Always when you lose, it’s so important as soon as possible to recover the winning feeling, the mentality. Of course you can lose and you cannot perform the same way all the time. It’s important we talked a lot. We try to talk and play well. Then the way in which we started at Dortmund, we didn’t deserve after half-time to be down on the results and then we came back and the result was fair.”

The Baggies travel to Wembley tomorrow without a permanent manager, following the sacking of Tony Pulis, and that could mean that Spurs are in for a difficult afternoon, with Gary Megson’s men desperate to impress whoever the new boss could be.
Pochettino will be fully aware of this, however, and will have made sure that his side are both physically and mentally ready for the challenge that awaits them on Saturday.
