Tottenham Hotspur signed Fernando Llorente from Swansea City in the summer transfer window.

Llorente joined Tottenham from Premier League rivals Swansea City in the summer transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Spurs had to pay the Swans a transfer fee of £12.1 million in order to secure the services of the 32-year-old Spain international striker.
Tottenham manager Pochettino has revealed the text message exchange between him and goalkeeper Lloris.

“Maybe I can reveal one small thing,” Pochettino told Football.London. “Hugo Lloris was in the national team and sent a text to me, ‘gaffer, it’s true about Llorente?’
“I said ‘yes, we sign Llorente’. He said ‘wow, fantastic player.’ That is the impact that he has on the changing room. Because all the players respect him.
“And then they start to meet him, how he is, he is very warm, very friendly, it was fantastic. It’s a big impact for our changing room.”

Llorente is a very good striker and has proved himself in the Premier League, having scored 15 goals and provided one assist in 28 league starts for Swansea last season.
The 32-year-old is a hugely experienced and successful striker, having done well during his time at Athletic Bilbao and Juventus.
The former Sevilla striker was also part of the Spain squad that won the World Cup in 2010 and the European Championship in 2012.
Meanwhile, Lloris has been on the books of Spurs since the summer of 2012 when he joined from French club Lyon for a transfer fee reported by The Independent to be worth £7.9m.
