Tottenham Hotspur have a major injury concern that is yet to be solved.
Speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference, Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino discussed Erik Lamela’s continued absence from his squad, citing how it is now becoming a major concern for the club, as quoted by Sky Sports.
The Argentine has not played for Tottenham since October, after picking up what was thought to be a fairly innocuous injury at the time.
He has also had to fly back to his homeland since then to be with his brother, after he was taken ill in December.

The 24-year-old has been back rehabilitating with former club Roma, after he thought a change of scenery might help aid his recovery.
And Pochettino told reporters how there is still no return date in sight for Lamela, with a scan for the Argentine pencilled in for tomorrow, as quoted by Sky Sports:
“Now we start to be concerned about him because he is three months and still in a situation that has not moved on. Tomorrow he will have a scan. Still it is difficult to give the time that he can come back. We need to wait tomorrow because there is still some problems, and we are still not sure of the diagnosis.”

Lamela moved to White Hart Lane from Roma in a big money deal in the summer of 2013, but has never really lived up to his much-hyped billing as one of the most exciting youngsters in the game.
In the meantime, however, Pochettino would surely just settle for having him back fit and available for selection.
