While discussing how Spurs can move forward, Pochettino told Football.London: ”It’s a good question, it’s a difficult thing to move forward.

“We have to talk a lot in the club, with Daniel [Levy], and get all round a table and see what happens.

”I think after four years together, the club has moved on in everything: not just in football, but about facilities.

“Next season we’ll have a new stadium and it could be fantastic. I think many things. I’ll share my ideas with the club and see how we can improve.”

Moving forward

Tottenham have progressed massively since Pochettino was appointed the first-team manager in the summer of 2014.

Spurs have established themselves as regulars in the Champions League and have also been competing for the Premier League title.

It is going to be tough for the North London outfit to compete with Manchester City for the league title in the coming years, but if they spend some good money in the summer transfer window and sign some quality players, then they will give themselves a very good chance of at least giving Pep Guardiola’s side a run for their money in 2018-19.

Tottenham are set to finish in the top four of the Premier League for the third season in a row and could also win the FA Cup.
