Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be fairly busy during this summer’s transfer window.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and discussed rumours concerning any potential incomings and outgoings this summer, insisting that the club have the final say on all transfers, rather than himself, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Tottenham have enjoyed a successful Premier League campaign thus far, and currently sit four points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, but can cut the gap down to just one point with a victory over West Ham at the London Stadium tonight.
Whatever the eventual outcome of this season, Pochettino will undoubtedly have to strengthen his options during the off-season, as he looks to improve what is an already strong group of players.
And the Argentine responded when quizzed on whether he or the club has the final say on any potential signings or player sales, as quoted by Football.London:

“Club decision always, because I am Tottenham manager. It’s not Mauricio Pochettino Football Club eh? That is very important to clarify. In three years always the club’s decision.”
With the Lilywhites hoping to move into their new 61,000 capacity stadium for the start of the 2018/19 season, it is unclear as to whether the board will sufficiently back Pochettino with he funds required in the summer, to help take the club forward.
If Spurs are to challenge for major honours on all fronts next season, however, the club’s hierarchy must surely reward Pochettino for the excellent work he has done by giving him license to spend this summer.
