Arsenal were by far the better side against Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates today.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino addressed the media during his post-match press conference, and responded to a question asking him if Mike Dean was to blame for his side’s defeat to Arsenal, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.
Tottenham were never at the races against the Gunners at the Emirates today, although it has to be said that they were on the wrong side of some really tight decisions that could have gone either way.
Arsene Wenger’s men eventually ran out comfortable and deserving winners, but it could be argued that things might have been very different, had Shkodran Mustafi’s goal been correctly ruled out for offside.

Pochettino spoke to the media after his side’s North London Derby defeat, and responded to a reporter who asked him if the match referee Mike Dean cost his side the game today, as quoted by Football.London:
“It’s not blaming the referee. It’s a strange situation and it disappoints you because it’s against you. It changed of course the dynamic of the game, but we need to accept that. That’s not in our control.”
Tottenham travel to Germany next to take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, and Pochettino will be expecting a much better performance from his side.
And with 11 points now separating Spurs and league leaders Manchester City, Europe’s premier competition might just represent a more realistic opportunity to win a trophy for Pochettino’s men.
