Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a move for Jarrod Bowen, and Mauricio Pochettino has responded to the reports.

With Spurs very much in the title race this season, many Tottenham fans will be imploring the club to not repeat the events of the summer when they were the only Premier League side not to sign a single player.
One player who has been linked with a move to Spurs during the January transfer window is Jarrod Bowen, with Sky Sports reporting this week that the club’s scouts have been watching the Hull City forward closely this season.
But based on comments from Mauricio Pochettino during his most recent press conference – which have been reported by Football London – it would appear that Tottenham fans should not be expecting a deal for Bowen this month.
Sky Sports reports that Bowen could cost £20 million after a remarkable spell in the Hull first-team, but Pochettino insisted that the forward is a player that he only became aware of after the transfer reports emerged.

“The first time I heard [about] him was yesterday or before yesterday. I heard for the first time yesterday this name. It’s like many names that appear in the media – rumours,” he said, as reported by Football London.
“There’s many interested in this business. How many players are today in the media that are related with Tottenham, and have been in the past? Be careful because hundreds of players were related with the club and then never happened. I think my answer is so clear.”

Bowen may lack Premier League experience, but he has been a revelation since getting his chance at the KCOM Stadium. He has scored 11 goals in 26 league appearances having spent much of the campaign playing as a wider forward.
He would not immediately be deemed a marquee addition for Tottenham as they look to battle for several trophies in the remaining months of the season, but he appears to be the kind of prospect that could go on to make a £20 million fee look like an absolute bargain.
