Tottenham Hotspur have had to endure a plethora of injuries in recent weeks.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has responded to criticism levelled at the club from former Liverpool player Danny Murphy regarding their prevention of injuries, claiming the latest crop of knocks were purely coincidence, as quoted by Sky Sports.
Murphy questioned whether the injuries that Spurs’ seem to be accumulating are down to the intensity of their play during games, or even in training, on BBC’s Match of the Day 2 programme.

Moussa Dembele and Eric Dier were substituted during the latter stages of Tottenham’s 1-0 win over Sunderland on Sunday, and Pochettino told Sky Sports how the pair will be available over the coming days:
“Mousa Dembele and Eric Dier got cramps in their hamstrings. It’s a coincidence. They will be available for the next few games.”

The Argentine also insisted that he is unconcerned by the knocks being received by his players, and how they are becoming more frequent, quoted here on the club’s official Twitter page:
The news wasn’t quite as promising for Harry Kane, however, with the England international ruled out for the long-term.
Tottenham rarely seem to rotate their starting XI, especially in comparison to other sides towards the top of the league, and if these injuries keep occurring, it will surely be something that Pochettino and his management team have to address.
Next up for Spurs is a home tie in the EFL Cup against Gillingham tomorrow night.
