Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a host of players ahead of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur fans may be hoping for big additions in the January transfer window, but manager Mauricio Pochettino may have other plans.
Spurs are set to move into their new stadium this summer, and with another Champions League campaign on the horizon, supporters may want to see big-name signings arrive to push the club forward.
However, early speculation suggests that Pochettino may be targeting tried and tested Premier League players, which may not quite excite fans as much as they would like.

The Telegraph recently reported that Spurs are looking to bring in West Bromwich Albion’s Jonny Evans, with The Sun adding today that Southampton left back Ryan Bertrand will be a target if Danny Rose departs.
Both players are currently heading for the Championship as their respective clubs are in the Premier League relegation zone, and Spurs may be looking to benefit by offering them immediate Premier League returns.

Whilst teenagers Matthijs de Ligt and Ryan Sessegnon, of Ajax and Fulham respectively, are being linked with Spurs, moves for Evans and Bertrand instead would be something of a change in transfer approach from Tottenham.
Under Pochettino, most signings have been players under the age of 25, possessing great potential. Players such as Davinson Sanchez, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min have thrived, with Spurs usually going for youth over experience – sometimes to their detriment according to some pundits, who feel Spurs need more proven players to win trophies.
Evans and Bertrand both won plenty of silverware at Manchester United and Chelsea respectively, and at 30 and almost-29, the pair would give Pochettino two proven Premier League performers rather than two diamonds to polish.
