Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino sat down for his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s clash with Crystal Palace at Wembley tomorrow, and provided an update on crocked pair Toby Alderweireld and Hugo Lloris, as quoted by popular football news website Football.London.

The Belgian and the Frenchman both sustained injuries during Tottenham fine win over Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Alderweireld sustained a hamstring injury, whilst Lloris suffered a groin strain, and Spurs fans will be worried that two of their most important players have picked up knocks with such a busy schedule ahead of their side.

And Pochettino delivered a rather cautious update regarding the Tottenham pair, when speaking to reporters during his pre-match press conference, as quoted by Football.London:

“My information today is we must wait about Toby and Hugo. The scan they are now going to do this afternoon. Sure that tomorrow we will have a better idea about it. Today is speculation. We can guess but I think we must wait for the information after the scan and the assessment from the doctor.”

The north London outfit have been mightily impressive this season, both domestically and on the continent, but they cannot afford many more slip-ups in the league, with an eight point deficit over Manchester City still to claw back.

And three points against Roy Hodgson’s Palace side tomorrow will be a prerequisite, if Tottenham are to stay in the race for the title.
